We have received last minute raffle items, which is great because we want more Austin Twestival supporters to go home winners! New items include:
The Chrontourage a group of people enthusiastic about promoting The Austin Chronicle, and can be found at various bars, restaurants, museums, movie theatres and other venues around Austin. At these event Chrontourage gives out swag and register attendees for free movies, concerts, performances, and events.
Gary Regner Photography has been featured in Texas Highways Wildflower Calendar as well as periodicals and travel guides for Texas. I particularly enjoy the comprehensive Texas Wildflower Index which is organized by color, which is very helpful with identifying wildflowers of which I’ve taken (less professional) photos.
Webmaster World has donated a PubCon South 2009 registration (valued at $599) to the Austin Twestival raffle. PubCon South is a full three day multi-track conference to be held in Austin,Texas on March 11 - 13, 2009. This event occurs right before South by Southwest 2009 so it’s a perfect excuse to come to Austin early if you aren’t already here!

We have had a great response to our request for raffle items in the few weeks we have been planning Austin Twestival. The Austin Twestival Planning Team is grateful to all of our sponsors and contributors. An extra special thanks to the volunteers who helped me gather cool items, especially @katmandelstein and @reanimated. With that, here’s the final tally of raffle items:
Every person who buys a ticket online or at the door receives one raffle ticket. More raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event, $3 for one ticket or $5 for every 2 tickets. Keep in mind that some of these items are valued up to $500, so every ticket you buy increases your chance of winning!

South by Southwest Interactive. It is the de facto standard for web conferences and a who’s who in the online space. South by Southwest stepped up big for Twestival by not only offering one SxSW Interactive badge, but two music wristbands and two film badges for our raffle and the international auction. We are so lucky to have this conference in our city. If you can’t afford to go, now is you have the chance to go to all three!

Currently the SXSW Interactive badge is slated for the twestival international auction that will go live today. The wristbands and film badges will be raffle prizes. You must be a ticketholder for our Austin event at Aces to win a raffle prize. You will need to be present to win the raffle prizes EXCEPT you can win one of the SXSW wristbands or film badge if you brought a ticket through amiando.com and provided your name and email address. We can’t make that exception for the entire raffle, as we do not want to redirect charitable funds to cover cost of shipping, handling, and insurance of items.
Buy a ticket here and tell all your friends to come. The more event and raffle tickets we sell, the more people have a chance to escape poverty and lead better lives.
